Biography
Chandrasekhar Krishnamurthy is a seasoned executive with expertise in risk management, internal audit, and strategic planning. He currently serves as Director of Corporate Planning, Risk Management, and Advisory Services, as well as Head of Internal Audit at Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc., where he acts as a strategic advisor to senior management and the Board of Directors.
With over 30 years of experience, including in international settings across the energy, aviation, and media sectors, he has held leadership roles in audit, organizational control, and strategic planning. He is recognized for his ability to design effective risk management frameworks, support strategic decision-making, and build highly specialized teams.
His career also includes active involvement in the governance of organizations, notably on the board of directors of the Académie Jeanne d’Arc in Ottawa and on audit committees in the public sector. His expertise in finance, compliance, and risk management is a key asset in ensuring sound governance and rigorous management of organizations.
Committed to the Francophone community and linguistic diversity, Mr. Krishnamurthy takes a particular interest in the role of knowledge institutions in the development and vitality of communities. He believes that teaching, research, and innovation must be closely aligned with the needs of the population, with a focus on equity, rigor, and impact.
As a member of the ISM Board of Directors, he hopes to put his expertise in risk management, strategic planning, and governance to work for the community, with a focus on contribution and reciprocity.
