Dominique Germain – Director, Board of Directors of the Institut du Savoir Montfort

Dominique Germain is an experienced leader in the field of postsecondary education and social services, whose commitment to the French-speaking community, educational innovation, and community health aligns perfectly with the mission of the Institut du Savoir Montfort.

With a master's degree in social work from the University of Ottawa, Ms. Germain has over 30 years of experience in social intervention, program management, and college teaching. She currently holds the position of Academic Chair at Algonquin College, where she oversees paramedic programs and directs the victimology research center. She also headed the Institute of Emergency and Legal Services at College La Cité, where she contributed to program transformation and the development of community partnerships.

Her expertise in health, education, and governance is reinforced by her role as an evaluator for EQUAL Accreditation, as well as her ongoing volunteer involvement. She served on the board of directors of Montfort Renaissance for six years and has been a member of the Association of Hôpital Montfort since 2010. She has also been active on several strategic committees, including the Ottawa Suicide Prevention Network and the Canadian Association of Police Educators.
