  • Converting to Climate Friendly Puffers

Metered-Dose Inhalers (MDIs) use hydrofluoroalkanes (HFAs) as a propellant, which are much more harmful for the climate than CO2. Fortunately, it is possible to choose “greener” inhalers, many of which are easier to use and do not require an extra plastic spacer device. This prescribers’ guide aims to facilitate the prescription of these climate-friendly inhalers.

This initiative is made possible by the Pharmacotherapeutic Committee and the Department of Respirology, with the support of the Green Committee and the Communications Department of Hôpital Montfort, as well as the Institut du Savoir Montfort.
