Research priorities

The Franco-Ontarian University Centre for Health Sciences

The research team at the Institut du Savoir Montfort focuses on research into the organization of services, prevention, screening and treatment of physical and mental commorbidities, using collaborative research. 
Through these research priorities, the Institut du Savoir Montfort aims to become, in partnership with Hôpital Montfort, a “living laboratory” - a center of expertise in health research focused on the needs of patients and participants in health care and services by facilitating a research environment that catalyzes change and improvements in interprofessional practice and the delivery of patient care.

Priority topics

Integrated healthcare

Aims to better understand the effects of physical illness on mental health and vice versa, in order to develop prevention, screening and intervention strategies for the management of individuals with physical and mental co-morbidities.

Aims to design and implement innovative approaches to care integration and the continuum of services.

Aims to support studies related to the development, validation and adaptation of training tools, as well as the improvement of practice for francophone health-care workers in minority settings.

Aims to design and implement innovative interdisciplinary approaches to integrating hospital and community pharmacy into the care team for the benefit of the patient.
