Biography

Alain Gauthier (Ph.D.) is a full professor at the School of Kinesiology and Health Sciences at Laurentian University. He served as Interim Director of the Research Center in Health in Northern and Remote Areas (CReSRN) from 2017 to 2019 and chaired the committee responsible for developing the Strategic Research Plan for Laurentian University. (2019-2024). He is a founding member of GRIPOAS (Interdisciplinary Research Group on Active Service Offering Practices in French). Dr. Gauthier is also a public health consultant for Public Health Sudbury and Districts and has interests in research related to healthy lifestyle habits.
