Biography

Dr. Prud’homme is the associate vice president for research and the scientific director of the Montfort Knowledge Institute. He holds a doctorate in medicine as well as a specialist certificate in family medicine, in addition to having a bachelor's and a master's degree in physical activity sciences from Laval University. He is a tenured professor at the School of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, where he served as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences from 2002 to 2012. He is also a clinician at the Outaouais Sports Medicine Clinic.

Research interests

• The effects of physical activity on individuals (adolescents, men, and women) with health issues such as obesity, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.
