Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing Sciences at the University of Quebec in Outaouais, Professor Nazon holds a PhD in Nursing Sciences from the University of Ottawa. In her doctoral project, she conducted a historical analysis of the development of the nursing profession and discipline, as well as the construction of nursing knowledge in Quebec, from a critical perspective. For nearly ten years, she has been teaching undergraduate courses on adult health and nursing in medical-surgical care. In the second cycle, she examines the ethics and epistemological process of the nursing discipline and the construction of knowledge and nurses. In terms of research, she is generally interested in the nursing workforce and focuses particularly on the roles, skills, and knowledge of nurses in care settings. Her research programming addresses the social and political role of nurses in healthcare settings, training, professional socialization, and the transition of nurses. In her publications, she also shows a great interest in epistemology, the sociopolitical aspects of care, and the nursing profession.
