Heidi King

Biography

Dr. Heidi King, FRCPC, is an outpatient psychiatrist working at the Montfort Hospital, in Ottawa, Canada. She works part-time as a co-leader for the Montfort Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) clinic and part-time as a contractor psychiatrist providing services to active Canadian military members through the Operational and Trauma Stress Support Centre program. She has trained in a number of psychotherapeutic modalities, including MBT, DBT and is completing her certification as a GPM trainer. She is an early career investigator, currently working as the primary investigator on a GPM-based research project "Effects of a 3-hour BPD Clinical Education Module on Nursing Attitudes in a Psychiatric Inpatient Setting”. Her additional professional responsibilities include teaching medical students and supervising psychiatric residents as a lecturer through the University of Ottawa.
