Biography

Dr. Jonathan Fitzsimon graduated from the medical school of the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom) in 2007. From 2009 to 2010, he worked as a volunteer doctor in Oruro, Bolivia, before returning to the UK to pursue the specialist training program in general medicine. He settled in Ontario in 2014 and opened a family medicine practice in Renfrew County.

In 2020, Dr. Fitzsimon was appointed Chief of Medicine at Arnprior Regional Health, Medical Lead of the Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre of Renfrew County, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He received the Glenn Sawyer Award for services rendered to the OMA in 2021.
