Biography

Dr. Manon Denis LeBlanc graduated with his medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1997. She continues her training in family medicine at Montfort Hospital and completes her residency there in 1999. Having always been drawn to pedagogy, she committed herself to the process of establishing a fully French-language medical studies program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa in 1995. She also led internships before becoming co-director of the externship from 2004 to 2006. This is how she gets involved in various leadership projects aimed at improving efficiency and quality, as well as projects for the migration of electronic records. In 2010, she became the president of the Scientific Committee of the Montfort Days, a renowned congress for continuing medical education in French, established in Ontario and attracting over 250 doctors and healthcare professionals annually. In August 2017, De Denis-LeBlanc was promoted to associate dean of the French-language component of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa.
