Biography

Melissa A. Fernandez is an assistant professor at the School of Nutrition Sciences in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. In her research, she focuses on the effects of digital environments related to food on health and nutrition, particularly from the perspective of literacy and eating practices, nutritional intake, and mental health. She passionately studies the influence of the Internet on our food choices and seeks ways to guide the public in this constantly evolving digital environment.
