Biography

Dr. Michaël Séguin is an assistant professor at the School of Leadership, Ecology, and Equity at Saint Paul University in Ottawa. A sociologist of ethnic relations by training, he specializes in partnership research and the development of policies and practices aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in organizations (notably settlement assistance agencies and higher education institutions). Since her doctoral studies on the cognitive dimension of Israeli colonialism and the representation of Palestinians that it generates, she explores ways to transform the worldview of members of dominant groups into allies aspiring for greater social justice. His teaching and research have led him to explore power dynamics in organizations, ways to raise awareness of differences, and inclusive leadership.
