Biography

Dr. Michelle Anawati is a francophone community family physician with active member privileges at Hôpital Montfort. A graduate of the University of Ottawa's medical program, she continued her studies in family medicine by completing her residency at Hôpital Montfort in 2012. She is currently Director of the Francophone Clerkship Program, a member of Francophone Affairs and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Her community practice is broad-based, with a particular interest in the determinants of health that stem from her experience as a social worker. Recipient of the Faculty of Medicine Collaborator Award in 2017, Dr. Anawati enjoys collaborating with students and preceptors in the francophone community to highlight the important role they play in patient care and the advancement of medical education. She is also interested in collaborative clinic development and community inter-professionalism on chronic diseases.
