Biography

Dr. Normand holds a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa. He is currently a pediatric psychologist at the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at Montfort Hospital (pediatric clinic) and a professor in the Department of Psychoeducation and Psychology at the University of Quebec in Outaouais. Clinically and scientifically, Dr. Normand's interests focus on better understanding the causes of social difficulties in children dealing with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and developing new psychosocial treatments targeting these challenges. Dr. Normand is currently starting a multisite randomized controlled study to evaluate the relative effectiveness of two psychosocial treatments developed to help parents promote their child's friendships with ADHD.
