Biography

Since September 2010, Dr. Shaun Visser has held the position of medical director of the emergency department at Montfort Hospital. Over the past 15 years, he has worked as a full-time emergency physician, serving in various departments in Ontario and Quebec. Before arriving in Montfort, he was in charge of the emergency and trauma services at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital. Dr. Visser is one of the examiners in emergency medicine for the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He also gives lectures as part of the presentation tours of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians. He is currently the head of the emergency care unit at Montfort.
