Biography

Dre Sophie De Roock holds a doctorate in medicine and is certified as a specialist in anesthesia and intensive care from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. Dre De Roock is an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa and is passionate about Health Sciences Education, actively participating in teaching medical students and residents. She has been a member of the Office of Francophone Affairs since 2019. She works as an intensivist at the Cardiovascular Institute as well as at Montfort Hospital. She is particularly interested in learning in a clinical context as well as in developing learning methods that meet the diverse needs of each learner.
