Biography

Dr. Stefan de Laplante obtained his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and subsequently completed his residency in family medicine at the same institution. A member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada since 2013, Dr. de Laplante is also a lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He is an active member of Francophone Affairs at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and is particularly interested in medical education. Among other things, he is currently the head of the integration unit, French-speaking section, in undergraduate medical studies and a clinical preceptor for medical students and residents. Dr. de Laplante is interested in preparation for the externship and the transition to it.
