Biography

Dr Burgess is an Ottawa-based Family Physician with additional specialization in Psychotherapy and Public Health. She employs an equity-focused, anti-oppression and trauma-informed framework in her research and clinical engagements. Her academic areas of interests currently are in the areas of quality improvement, specifically applying best practices in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive care to clinical services. She is excited to contribute to capturing how Artificial Intelligence can be focused towards better outcomes for Family Physicians practice, while keeping patient safety in central focus.
