Salomon Fotsing

Biography

Dr. Fotsing graduated a specialty degree in rheumatology from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI) after completing his MD at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Dr. Fotsing is currently completing a Master’s degree with a thesis in Education (M.A.Ed) with a specialization in teaching health professionals at the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Fotsing is very engaged in teaching health professionals. He has been affiliated for more than 5 years as a lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa, where he teaches medical students during the Clinical Reasoning Learning Activities (CRA), and as a lecturer in the Department of Nursing at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, where he teaches courses in Physical Evaluation, Physiopathology and Quantitative Research Methods.

Dr. Fotsing is currently at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa where he is the Research Manager in Medical Education. He thus contributes greatly not only to the quality of teaching but also to the development of research in medical pedagogy in French at the Faculty of Medicine.
